dissatisfied with the current situation …
Some of us don`t show up to work mentally because that would just add to the aggrivation that we already have. Okay so if you don`t like your job, then hey, get a different job. Funny thing is you need to be present wherever you are. To put simply no matter where you go there you are. You cant escape yourself, and daydreaming and wishing you were someone somewhere else is not going to change the situation. On one level if you are too fat, too skinny, too weak, you can change this. You should feel privilaged to have such petty problems. We live in one of the richest countries in the world. You can do anything, just about anytime you want, and as long as its not tottally ridiculous, no one is going to say boo. As far as being upset constantly about everything under the sun, well lets look at oursleves alittle. What really is the source of the problem. Do we have too much time on our hands ? Are we constantly bored ? If so why ? Being bored is a luxury. I wish I had time to be bored. Now then, returning, what is it that you dont like about who you are ? Blaming your problems on someone else is merely avoidance of the central issue. The whole its their fault that they made me feel and act this way. Really ? How does another person make you think, feel and do anything ? Whatever you think, feel, and do is your choice, and your decision. Thats right, you made the choice consciously. I know you werent even aware of it, however you did. Why allow someone else this much power and control over you ? We are all independent individuals with our own minds, we really are contrary to what others might try to make you believe. As an anitdote to the constant irritation, lets try alittle mindfullness excercise. In the morning when you wake up, not get up and get out of bed, I mean wake up. Examine your state of mind. Are you calm and collected and do your thoughts seem to flow along effortlessly like and stream. Do the muscles of your body seem tense in anyway ? What is your breathing pattern like ? Take note of all this, then rise out of bed slowly, and take a few calm breathes. Think to yourself, today will be a good, calm, peaceful day. Be aware of your state of mind at that moment. Make a concentrated effort to remain in this state as long as possible. Before the whole yeah buts start and the but what do I do situation questions start, drop that crap thinking. Its junk thoughts that we dont need. The important thing is to be aware of your breathing pattern. That will show you your state of mind. Try it, youll be supprised at what you find.
